Celebrity Style - Solange Knowles

Who is Solange Knowles? She is a mother, singer/songwriter, dj, model, and an emerging fashion icon. Solange has pushed the envelope with her style by pairing contrasting prints, sporting bold colors, and even cutting her mane (which she received a lot of backlash for).  She has been the face of Rimmel, Armani jeans, and House of Deréon and inked a contract with Next Models at the top of the year.  Solange was selected to blog for the month of February for British Vogue's popular "Today I'm Wearing..." online franchise, further solidifying her place in fashion.  Here is a look at the trendsetters best looks over the years:

Spring 2012 Trend - Neon

No it's not the 80s, but neon has made a resurgence for all the fashionistas out there. Many designers have incorporated neon in their spring collections including Jason Wu and Nanette Lepore. This trend isn't the easiest to pull together but can be done well (as seen above). A neon faux pas is to go overboard and pair the wrong neon items together.  For those who aren't big risk takers and not sure how to pull it off, start small by selecting one item that is neon such as the kiwi Birkin bag pictured above.  The Citizens of Humanity Thompson Shockpink jeans are yet another great neon option that can be paired with neutral colors.  This spring/summer make a bold statement with your favorite vibrant hues.
